This DESMET BALLESTRA horizontal drum cooker conditioner/paddle dryer is used for increasing temp of product on a continous basis.

The cooker is composed of a horizontal cylinder shell with steam heated jacket, and an internal paddle screw conveyor for transporting the product. The shell is connected to an outer vapour exhaust chimney.

Heating steam operating pressure: 10 bar

11 kw main drive with Flender gearbox.

Designed to do 180 Ton per 24 hour of canola seeds.

A steam jacketed vessel is a container that is designed for controlling the temperature of its contents, by using a heating “jacket” around the vessel through which steam is circulated. The jacket is a cavity external to the vessel that permits the uniform exchange of heat between the steam circulating in it and the walls of the vessel. The unit includes a main agitator shaft with paddles and special vent to use the unit as a dryer, cooker or conditioner for the oilseed processing industry.
