The Huntsman 1000 Belt Filter Press is a continious sludge dewatering machine. The machine is designed for use in industrial trade waste plants.

Sludge is conditioned with polymer upstream of the flocculator. The flocculator allows for the full development of the sludge flocs via use of a propeller type mixer.

From the flocculator, the conditioned sludge is gently transferred to the pre-gravity drainage and wedge zone, where further excess hydraulic load is removed. The discharge of the feedbox has been designed to allow even distribution across the full width of the belt. The sludge is then subject to the pressure zone where final pressing occurs. At the cake discharge, doctor blades assist in cake removal.
